What Kind Of Woman Is That! was released Aug 09, 1997 on the Blue Loon label.

Texas Red grew up in Texas and then lived in Minnesota. He formed his first blues band in 1971. Many guests from the exquisite scene in Minneapolis/St. Paul add to the musical qualities that are evident everywhere on "What Kind of Woman Is That". The spirit of Jimmy Reed and Muddy Waters are definitely in the room with this show. Texas Red is almost a medium for this blues transference. There are no pedals, no frills, no fancy "stuff," just straight ahead, down in the alley blues. From the great harmonica blowing of RJ Mischo, to Red's moaning vocals, to inspired guitar playing, this record has it all.
