Reviews:
1. AllMusic - Thom Owens
Roll Dem Bones 1938-49 rounds up a number of sides not issued on the Document series, offering good insight into the final days of Jazz Gillum's career. While it isn't the first place to go -- RCA's concise and comprehensive Bluebird Recordings 1934-1938 holds that title -- it nevertheless is a welcome addition to any serious blues historian that has all the Document reissues.
