"In this kind of music the emotions are so alive that you can almost touch them with your bare hands. That's something I appreciate about the music: hearing and feeling those emotions and the authenticity of it all when it doesn't sound too perfect and planned" says the Finnish singer, who left her home Helsinki in 2019 to start a new life in Berlin.
The live album was recorded in Finland and captures the essence of Forsman's magnetic stage presence and unparalleled symbiosis with some of Scandinavia's finest soul, blues and jazz musicians. The album presents an outstanding selection of cover songs which are a homage to the great musicians of Soul, as well as twelve compositions written by Ina herself, also including an exclusive unreleased track that adds a unique freshness to Ina Forsman's live repertoire.
